Life and Writing

Attending a writing workshop this week has been therapeutic for me. I've laughed and cried. Writing prompts have forced me to remember various things from the past--some good and some bad. Anyway, I'm having fun and learning some things in the process--like creating a blog!

I needed a distraction from life at this time. Last Thursday we lost a family friend--a very talented young man. His funeral is tomorrow. All of us are trying to carry on with life as normal, but it is very hard. This is one reason I say that life is not fair. Parents are not supposed to bury their children.
